Music star Wizkid has opened up about his life, shedding light on the experiences that have influenced his outlook.
He reminisced about his childhood, growing up in a large family of 11 siblings, with four being from his mother.
Wizkid shared that there were challenging times when he and his brothers and sisters frequently went hungry.
He said:
“I came from the bottom, I know what it feels like not to have anything. There was a time in my life when I had never even had breakfast, it was just lunch or maybe dinner,”.
Despite his significant fame, Wizkid highlighted that his modest beginnings have instilled in him a deep sense of gratitude and calm that remains unaffected by his success.
The “Made in Lagos” artist conveyed profound appreciation for his parents, especially his late mother, for their crucial guidance and support.
