A former pastor has made a shocking confession about the prevalence of fake miracles in Nigerian churches. In an interview with content creator KAA, the ex-cleric revealed the tactics used to deceive congregations and the public.
The former pastor, who founded Lion Ministry, explained that he learned the tricks of the trade from a prophet. He admitted to hiring people to pretend to be blind, deaf, or afflicted with other ailments, only to be “healed” during church services.
“We have people like agents in every city,” he said. “They will link you up with these agents, and it’s the agents you pay. Then, it’s the agent that sources for these people.”
The former pastor’s confession has sparked a heated debate on social media, with many expressing shock and disappointment. Some have praised the ex-cleric for his honesty, while others have questioned his motives.
The controversy surrounding fake miracles in Nigerian churches has been a longstanding issue. In 2020, a BBC report exposed six methods used by some pastors to fake miracles.
