Nollywood actress Biodun Okeowo has finally spoken out about the controversy surrounding her departure from the Yoruba movie industry. In a recent interview, Biodun revealed that she was forced to quit the industry after being blacklisted by marketers who were upset that she refused to sleep with them.

The actress claimed that the marketers went as far as telling producers not to feature her in movies and even removed her head from the poster of a film where she played the lead role.
Following her bombshell revelation, many social media users urged Biodun to expose the names of the marketers involved. However, in a recent post on Instagram, Biodun questioned whether she should reveal their identities, noting that it’s “callout season.”
The actress stated that the marketers are alive and well aware of her post, and that God has been good to her despite her absence from the movie industry for over a decade.
Biodun also acknowledged that not all marketers are bad, and that there are some good ones in the industry. She encouraged her fans to support her and other actresses by subscribing to their YouTube channels.
“I saw a lot of comments saying I should mention the names of the said marketers. Should I? I heard it’s callout season!” Biodun wrote. “These marketers are alive, and seeing it all; they know themselves. God has done well, and I’m doing extremely well despite not featuring in movies for more than a decade. Isn’t God marvelous?”
Meanwhile, God bless the good ones among them. Not all of them are bad. We didn’t date them, yet they did well. But there’s only so much they can do because, in the end, the majority carries the vote. But thank God for YouTube now.
