Reality TV star Neo Akpofure recently posted a touching reflection on Instagram, looking back on his journey before he gained fame.
He recounted a significant experience from five years ago when he was a Bolt driver in Calabar.
Neo remembered an encounter with Nigerian artist MC Galaxy, recalling how they stopped at a local spot to savor bush meat and palm wine before he took them to the airport.
He looked back on his journey with gratitude, noting his perseverance in chasing his dreams.
Neo also shared that he nearly joined the Big Brother Naija house during the ‘Pepper Dem’ season but ultimately did not make it.
He urged both himself and others to keep pushing forward and remain committed to their goals.
He said:
“Five years ago today, I was still driving on Bolt in Calabar, I picked up Mc Galaxy and his associate, he was craving bush meat and palm wine from somewhere called Atimbo. We enjoyed the bush meat and palm wine before dropping them off at the airport.
“Fast forward to today, I look back and see how far I’ve come. If I had given up on my dreams then, na me for fuck up. Fun fact: this year. I made it to the final stage for BBN (Pepperdem) but I didn’t get into the house. If I gave up, I wouldn’t have entered the lockdown season.”
