Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor, a well-known Nigerian pastor and former president of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), recently shared a powerful testimony about his battle with cancer.
During a church service, Pastor Oritsejafor revealed that while he was undergoing treatment for an aggressive form of cancer in the United States, a close friend of his also sought cancer treatment in the UK. Sadly, his friend did not survive and was brought back in a casket.
Oritsejafor humbly shared that he didn’t disclose his illness to his congregation earlier, keeping his struggle private. He expressed gratitude for God’s intervention in his healing, emphasizing that he doesn’t feel superior to his friend who passed away, but believes that God’s mercy saved him. He urged his members not to celebrate his survival, acknowledging that it was God who “remembered him.”
The pastor has committed to doubling his service to God, vowing to dedicate even more of his life to His work in gratitude for this second chance at life. His heartfelt message serves as both a testimony of faith and a reminder of life’s fragility.
