Nigerian singer Portable has sparked concern among his fans after sharing new photos of his wife, Bewaji, on Instagram. While Portable prayed for his wife’s continued success and blessings, fans couldn’t help but notice what appeared to be signs of physical abuse on her face.
One fan, Ayo_mi_dee, commented, “She don dey recover from serious beating. God abeg. Ile Portable, Ile werey” (meaning “She’s recovering from a serious beating. God have mercy. Portable’s house, a house of madness”).
Bewaji responded to the comment, questioning why people were making assumptions about her appearance. “Adabi lo wa kun bayi ooo. Because I no post mean something sup Oga oo” (meaning “What’s wrong with you people? Just because I haven’t posted, you’re making up stories”).
However, another fan, Tawa Arik, reiterated the concern, stating, “The beating show very well for face” (meaning “The signs of beating are clearly visible on her face”).
