A devastating tragedy has struck the Nigerian community in the UK with the sudden passing of 32-year-old Temitope Elizabeth Soneye Iwute. Elizabeth, who had just completed her Master’s degree at York St. John University, died during childbirth in London.

To support Elizabeth’s newborn son and cover funeral expenses, the Nigerians in the UK Community (NIUK Community) has launched a GoFundMe campaign. The community remembered Elizabeth as a shining light, whose death is a devastating loss to all who knew her.
The NIUK Community shared a heartfelt tribute to Elizabeth, saying: “Temitope was vibrant and full of life, looking forward to her journey as a mother, her death is a devastating loss to her family, friends, and the community.”
