Nigerian activist and social critic, VeryDarkMan, has announced the release of a diss track aimed at gospel singer Mercy Chinwo. This comes shortly after Mercy Chinwo filed a lawsuit against him.

A viral post on X (formerly Twitter) revealed that VeryDarkMan is set to drop a song titled “Body of Christ,” which is meant to mock Mercy Chinwo. In a video attached to the post, VeryDarkMan can be seen dancing to the unreleased track.
The online personality is seeking opinions from his followers on which artist to feature on the track, someone he describes as having “deep spiritual depth.” He mentions controversial singer Portable, citing his “spiritual depth” as the reason for wanting him on the track.
VeryDarkMan can be heard saying in the video: “My single is out – ‘Body of Christ.’ I’m thinking of featuring someone holier. In my opinion, this person is even holier than Mercy Chinwo.”
“I believe this person has the spirit of Christ in him. I want someone way better than her – someone with real spiritual depth.”
“Portable, I’ll be in your DM. I want you on this song because you’re spiritually inclined. Forget our differences – I believe you have more spirituality in Christ than Mercy Chinwo.”
The post has sparked reactions, with many individuals flooding the comment section to share their thoughts. Some have expressed amusement, while others have criticized VeryDarkMan’s move.
