Jubilation is spreading all over Nigeria as rumors swirl that the popular social media personality, Bobrisky, often humorously referred to as the “mummy of Lagos,”
After a Federal High Court in Lagos State sentenced Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, to six months in prison for abusing the Naira. The court did not offer an option for a fine.
Bobrisky was prosecuted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). The court convicted him on April 5 after he pled guilty, but sentencing was postponed until April 9. Until then, the court ordered that Okuneye be held in EFCC custody.
