Yomi Fabiyi, a renowned Nollywood actor, has fled Nigeria after allegedly escaping an assassination attempt. He missed the Coroner’s court session for late singer Mohbad and a planned protest at the Lagos State Assembly on September 30, 2024.
Fabiyi had scheduled the protest to coincide with the coroner’s investigation into Mohbad’s death. However, he claimed his life was in danger after narrowly escaping an assassination attempt two days prior.
In a video, Fabiyi revealed an alleged conspiracy against him: “I escaped assassination two days ago, and they still planned to kill me tonight. If they had succeeded, I would have been buried tomorrow. They want to silence me because I’m fighting for justice. I didn’t collect money from anyone; I’m fighting for God.” Fabiyi is currently in hiding, unsure of his destination.
