Popular Nollywood actress Biodun Okeowo has bravely shared her heartbreaking story of how she was forced to quit her acting career due to the unscrupulous actions of marketers.

In a recent interview, Biodun revealed that her passion for acting was crushed by the frustrating experiences she faced with marketers who demanded sexual favors in exchange for roles. The actress, who recently tied the knot with her partner, expressed her gratitude to her fans who have missed seeing her on screen.
Biodun recounted how the marketers sabotaged her career, making her life miserable and eventually forcing her to walk away from the industry. “They blacklisted me for refusing to give in to their demands. They told producers to stop casting me in movies and even went as far as removing my face from a movie poster where I played the lead role,” she shared.
The actress confessed that the experience left her with a deep-seated hatred for the job she once loved. “I developed so much hatred for acting that I started turning down roles. It was a painful experience, but I’m grateful to have found happiness again,” she said.
Biodun’s story sheds light on the darker side of the entertainment industry, where talented individuals are often exploited and mistreated. Her bravery in sharing her story will undoubtedly inspire others to speak out against injustice and advocate for a more inclusive and supportive industry.
