Nollywood actress Yvonne Jegede has been devastated after losing one of her daughters to cholera.
The actress broke the terrible news to her Instagram fans, revealing that she has been the sole financial supporter of three children, one of them, Olamide Ajimuda, recently died.
Jegede revealed that she first saw Olamide while he was in Primary 4, and that he was slated to progress to Junior Secondary School 3 following the summer vacation.
Unfortunately, the sickness ended Olamide’s life. In her article, Jegede also provided a bittersweet update on the accomplishments of the two other children she helps, who recently graduated from high school.
One of them is Olamide’s sister. Despite her financial constraints, Jegede stated that these achievements give her a sense of purpose and completeness.
Jegede has been managing these children’s financial duties since 2019, which she attributes to divine providence.
She expressed gratitude for the courage and support she has received, recognizing that her faith has served as a guiding force throughout her path.
“I’m heartbroken because I lost one of my children to cholera. Olamide and I met when he was in Primary 4 and was supposed to go to JSS3 after this summer break. The news broke my heart. I am also happy that two of my children graduated yesterday from secondary school, and one of them is Olamide’s sister. I don’t have all the money in the world, but this makes my world complete. Since 2019 till date, I don’t know how I do it, but my God provides enough to carry them through.
“Rest In Power Olamide Ajimuda,“Jegede wrote.
