A Muslim Nigerian woman’s advice to her fellow Muslim ladies has sparked varied reactions on social media.
She suggested that Muslim women married to Muslim men should be prepared for the possibility of their husbands taking another wife.
Expressing her views on X (Twitter), she mentioned that this is a reality they need to accept, and when it happens, they should turn to Allah in prayer.
“Dear Muslim women, once you marry a Muslim man, prepare yourself for the possibility that he will take another wife sooner or later. When it happens, accept qadr and pray for Allah’s guidance, ease, and protection for you and your children.”
As her tweet gained attention, she further commented that those facing this situation should act according to their own judgment.
While some online users supported her perspective, others disagreed, arguing that taking another wife is a choice and that a wife has the right to seek a divorce if she wishes.
