Nollywood actress Bukola Olatunji recently welcomed a baby girl at Queen’s Hospital in New York. She shared photos on social media on Saturday, September 28, showing herself cradling her newborn. Alongside her, actresses Tawa Ajisefini and Awele Odita were also seen in the images.
In her post, Olatunji expressed gratitude, captioning it, “It’s the Lord’s doing and it is marvelous in our sights, Alhamdulilah.”
Earlier, on Friday, she had posted maternity photos on Instagram to announce the arrival of her baby girl, expressing her joy and thankfulness with the caption, “Oroayolojasi. It’s a girl.”
Her fellow celebrities and fans showered her with congratulatory messages. Actress Faithia Williams sent her warm wishes with “Congratulations dearly,” while Tawa Ajisefini wrote, “Ose olorun aanu,” expressing gratitude to God. Others, including Salami Rotimi, Nkechi Blessing, Omowunmi Ajiboye, Yetunde Barnabas, and Femi Adebayo, also celebrated the good news with prayers and congratulations.
Olatunji, a Public Administration graduate from The Polytechnic of Ibadan, has built a successful career in the Yoruba movie industry. She started her acting career with the drama group Igbalajobi and has since appeared in numerous Nollywood films. As a producer, she has completed six projects, including Ini Oluwa, Ife Inu Mi, Ayanmo, Kosi Ife, Akutu, and Esan Laye.
Her joyous news comes shortly after comic actor Olu Olowogemo Harejan, popularly known as Portable Harejan, and his wife, actress Ebunoluwa Edafe, celebrated the birth of their baby boy on September 26. Portable announced the news on Instagram with a video of his wife and their newborn son.
