Nigerian singer Jaywon has announced that he has forgiven Burna Boy for the perceived disrespect.
This follows a public feud sparked when Jaywon criticized Burna Boy for claiming that no one paved the way for him in the music industry.
In a recent interview with Ctdamongblacks, Jaywon stated that he has let go of the grudge due to Burna Boy’s significant musical accomplishments.
Jaywon acknowledged that while Burna Boy may be “a stubborn child,” he has made significant contributions to the Nigerian music industry.
Despite this, Jaywon criticized rapper Odumodublvck for similarly claiming that no one paved the way for him, arguing that Odumodublvck hasn’t accomplished enough to make such claims.
Jaywon also revealed that the original title of his new song “Time” was “Letter To Burna Boy,” a title he changed after Odumodublvck began making controversial statements. He explained that Burna Boy was actually the inspiration behind the song.
“Burna Boy has made significant contributions to the industry, often without even realizing it. Despite his stubbornness and occasional misbehavior, I’ve forgiven him because of his hard work and achievements.
“In contrast, Odumodublvck hasn’t earned the same respect. He released a diss track aimed at me, and I was disappointed to see that it was all he could come up with as a rapper.”
