Nollywood actress Debbie Shokoya has opened up about the inspiration behind her new podcast, “Motherhood with Mummy K,” which she recently launched on her YouTube page.

In an emotional post, Debbie shared that the idea for the show came to her in 2023, after she experienced motherhood for the first time. She welcomed a baby girl in August 2024, a year after losing her first pregnancy.
Debbie revealed that the show is her way of sharing her testimony with the world. She believes that many women will learn from her experiences and be encouraged by her story.
“Motherhood is a deep journey,” Debbie said. “It comes with a lot. Some women face loss before they get their joy, some face ‘no’s’ before ‘yes,’ and some have to sacrifice much more. But at the end, every mother has a unique story to tell.”
Debbie expressed her gratitude to God for inspiring her to create the show. She’s confident that it will touch and change lives, and also prepare many ladies for motherhood.
The actress had earlier shared her painful experience of losing her first pregnancy at eight months. She has now transformed that pain into a powerful testimony that will inspire and encourage many women.
“Motherhood with Mummy K” is now live on Debbie’s YouTube page, and she’s inviting everyone to tune in and be blessed.
