Jasmine Okafor, the adopted daughter of late Nollywood actor Mr. Ibu, has taken to social media to celebrate her son’s 10th birthday. In a heartfelt post, Jasmine reflected on her journey as a teenage mother and the challenges she faced.

“Imagine being 20 plus and having a son that’s 10,” Jasmine wrote. “What felt like the biggest mistake of my life at the time became my biggest blessing today.”
Jasmine revealed that she was told to abort her child when she was a teenager, but she chose to keep him. She expressed gratitude to her mother, who became a pillar of support during that difficult time.
“I don’t know how I did it,” Jasmine said. “My mum became his mum, and I owe everything to her.”
Jasmine also spoke about the father of her child, who told her he wasn’t ready to be a father. Despite this, Jasmine said she has never lacked anything, thanks to God’s provision.
The celebration was bittersweet for Jasmine, who has been open about her past struggles. Last year, she was involved in a controversy surrounding Mr. Ibu’s family, which led to her arrest.
As Jasmine celebrates this milestone in her son’s life, she is also using the opportunity to advocate against abortion. “Say no to abortion,” she urged her followers.
