Nollywood actor Yul Edochie has sparked a thought-provoking conversation with his recent statement. He emphasized the importance of knowing one’s ancestors and lineage, urging Nigerians to explore their roots.

According to Yul Edochie, individuals who are well-versed in Bible characters but have zero knowledge of their ancestors are, in fact, lost. He expressed his opinion in a statement on Sunday, encouraging people to delve into their heritage.
“If you’re an African, and you know all about Peter, Paul, Joseph in the Bible and the people of Israel, and yet you know nothing about your village, your ancestors, your lineage, the exploits of your great grandfathers and grandmothers, you should be ashamed of yourself. You’re lost,” Yul Edochie wrote.
