Nigerian Afrobeat singer Burna Boy has seemingly taken a swipe at his colleague Davido over his Banana Island mansion. In a series of posts on his Instagram story, Burna Boy called out individuals who falsely claim ownership of luxury items.
He specifically addressed those who lie about buying expensive properties, like Sujimoto’s house in Banana Island, when they only rented it. Burna Boy urged them to “do better” in 2025.
The Grammy-winning singer also targeted those who boast about owning authentic luxury watches, like the rainbow Daytona, when they’re actually counterfeit. He warned them to stop deceiving people and “do better” in the new year.
Burna Boy emphasized that dishonesty should be considered a criminal offense, especially when it comes to serial liars.
In a separate post, Burna Boy distanced himself from comparisons to Fela Kuti, stating that he’s focused on positivity, peace, and prosperity. He declared, “I’m not Fela; I’m BIG 7.”
