A Nigerian man has shared his thoughts on the recent incident between a UNIZIK lecturer and a female student, which went viral on social media. In the video, the student was seen assaulting her lecturer for interrupting her TikTok live video.

The man, who was spotted in a video online, believes that the lecturer is to blame for the incident. According to him, the lecturer should not have touched the student when he asked her to excuse him. He emphasized that touching someone without their consent is a breach of personal boundaries, especially in a professional or academic setting.
“I think the culprit here is the lecturer. He didn’t behave like a lecturer. You could say ‘excuse me’ without touching people. He clearly started the problem by touching her,” the man said.
His comments sparked a debate on social media, with many people sharing their thoughts on the incident. Some users agreed with the man, saying that the lecturer should have respected the student’s boundaries. Others believed that both parties could have handled the situation differently.
One user, @Temmy_omoileri, wrote: “God bless you daddy for calling this out. Touching people without their consent is a breach of privacy.”
Another user, @JWEZEE, stated: “Nigerians don’t know boundaries or courtesy. If I don’t know you or haven’t given you permission to touch me, don’t.”
