Nigerian singer Naira Marley has poured his heart out in an emotional note after being declared not guilty in the death of his former artist, Mohbad.

In a heartfelt post, Naira Marley expressed his pain and shock, stating that he never thought someone he considered a brother would leave the world with his name tarnished. He revealed that he had carried the weight of shame and pain that wasn’t his to bear.
Naira Marley acknowledged that he and his label, Marlian Records, weren’t perfect, but they had made amends with Mohbad before his passing. He felt betrayed that despite their reconciliation, the world still pointed fingers at him after Mohbad’s death.
The singer recounted how he had faced the justice system, spent time in jail, and stood by his truth, despite the lies and misconceptions surrounding him. He quoted verses from the Quran, emphasizing his trust in Allah and the ultimate revelation of truth.
Naira Marley’s emotional note concluded with a message of resilience, stating that although he had been broken, he was not destroyed.
This comes after a Magistrate court in Lagos cleared Naira Marley and his aide, Sam Larry, of any involvement in Mohbad’s death.
