Chidimma Adetshina, a former Miss South Africa contestant, has announced her intention to compete in the 2025 season of Big Brother Naija.
Big Brother Naija, Nigeria’s premier reality TV show, is currently airing its ninth season.
In a recent interview with Cool FM, Chidimma shared her plans to join the upcoming edition of BBNaija.
“I’m aiming to join Big Brother Naija next year. Having managed seven weeks away during Miss SA, I’m confident I can handle it,” she stated.
She also discussed the emotional toll of the Miss SA controversy, revealing that it was a challenging experience that frequently brought her to tears.
She mentioned that she chose to maintain a positive outlook, believing that her situation might lead to something beneficial.
“It has been a challenging journey for me, and I won’t deny how tough it has been,” she reflected.
“There were times I’d cry myself to sleep, questioning, ‘Why me?’ and wishing for it all to end. However, during tough times, it’s important to focus on the positives. I had to shift my perspective and recognize that something great might emerge from this,” she explained.
It’s worth noting that Chidimma’s involvement in Miss South Africa stirred controversy due to her nationality.
The situation intensified on social media, with numerous South Africans voicing their dissatisfaction and demanding her disqualification.
This backlash prompted an investigation by the South African Ministry of Home Affairs, which ultimately led to Chidimma withdrawing from the pageant.
