MC Oluomo, the newly appointed chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), has expressed his heartfelt gratitude and forgiveness in a letter following his appointment. He thanks God for his life, mercy, and elevation, and acknowledges His goodness and faithfulness despite trials.
In his letter, MC Oluomo extends his appreciation to the NURTW Board of Trustees, National Executives, and all members for their unwavering support, commitment, and prayers. He emphasizes his commitment to unity in the union and promises to lift it to greater heights with God’s help.
Notably, MC Oluomo declares forgiveness to those who offended him and seeks forgiveness from those he may have wronged. He urges NURTW members to maintain peace and preserve their livelihood, stating, “We will not let anyone destroy our means of livelihood.”
This message comes after his resignation as chairman of the Lagos State chapter of NURTW, a position he held for over six years. His departure sparked debate on the role of transport unions in Lagos’ complex transportation system.
