Idris Abdulrasheed Adeiza, a determined young man from Kogi State, has officially begun his studies at the Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA), thanks to the kindness of philanthropist Alex Onyia.
Idris, whose father is a bricklayer, gained admission to study software engineering after scoring an impressive 323 in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). However, his academic future was uncertain due to financial constraints.
Fortunately, Alex Onyia, CEO of Educare, stepped in to sponsor Idris’s education. Onyia shared the heartwarming update on social media, posting photos of Idris at FUTA and praising the young man’s determination.
“Today, Idris officially starts his university education… He is among those who scored above 300 in recent JAMB but had no means of going to the university. I love his determination… and I pray that he excels and impacts different nations,” Onyia wrote.
The post has garnered widespread praise for Onyia’s generosity and Idris’s perseverance, highlighting the impact of kindness and determination on the lives of talented but underprivileged students.
