A shocking revelation has emerged about the final moments of Dr. Ikenna Erinne, a US-based Nigerian cardiologist who took his own life. Initially, it was believed that financial strain from a $15,000 monthly child support ruling drove him to suicide. However, his father-in-law, Francis Van-Lare, has come forward with a disturbing account of events.
According to Van-Lare, Dr. Erinne held his estranged partner (Van-Lare’s daughter) and their children hostage at gunpoint for three hours. The terrifying ordeal ended when the police arrived, and Dr. Erinne turned the gun on himself.
Van-Lare shared his heartbreaking story on Facebook, revealing that his daughter and grandchildren were traumatized by the experience. He expressed gratitude that no one else was harmed, saying, “I thank God it did not degenerate to where he shoots my daughter, grandchildren, and himself.”
