The Lagos State Government recently sealed Cubana Chiefpriest’s fast food restaurant, Donald’s, over environmental violations, primarily noise pollution.
The restaurant, located on Adebayo Doherty Street in Lekki Phase 1, had been operating 24 hours a day since its opening in August. Despite multiple warnings and abatement notices from the Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA), the establishment continued to breach regulations.
Lagos State Commissioner for Environment, Tokunbo Wahab, confirmed the closure on social media, highlighting that noise pollution and other environmental infractions were the main reasons for the action. The government’s move emphasizes its commitment to maintaining a healthy and sustainable urban environment by ensuring businesses comply with environmental standards.
