Davido react as Sophia Momodu finally win the custody of Imade by calling out he’s late son (see Reactions)
Afrobeat superstar Davido Adeleke has responded to comments made by Sophia Momodu, his baby mama Imade, in a recent legal filing. Sophia, who is the mother of Davido’s daughter Imade, referenced the tragic death of Davido’s son Ifeanyi in her counter affidavit against the singer’s request for joint custody. In her detailed affidavit, Sophia mentioned the loss of Ifeanyi Adeleke in a domestic accident, attributing it to negligence and citing it as a reason to limit Davido’s access to their daughter.
Reacting to her statements, Davido criticized Sophia for repeatedly bringing up the painful memory, causing further distress to him and his wife, Chioma.
He suggested temporarily pausing the custody battle, expressing hope that in the future, Imade would understand his efforts to remain a part of her life.On his social media platform X, Davido, affectionately known as OBO by his fans, expressed his love for his daughter. He posted:
“Your constantly bringing up the death of my child at any point u can to just remind us of this tragedy that haunts us everyday of our lives .. Imade will grow up to see I fought for her .. as for now u can have her .. P.S she won’t be a child forever .. enjoy ❤️ Imade Aurora Adeleke ! Your father loves you!”
