Dumelo’s father offered him valuable advice ahead of his upcoming swearing-in as a member of parliament, urging him to “serve diligently in government”. Just 10 minutes after their conversation, Dumelo received a call that his father was unresponsive, and despite rushing him to the hospital, he couldn’t be saved.
The actor expressed his deep gratitude for his father’s unwavering support and guidance throughout his life, describing him as his “best friend,” “number one cheerleader,” and “father”.
