The Ogun State Police Command has rejected singer Portable’s claim that he’s receiving treatment for psychiatric issues. Portable had declared himself a “madman” in a video, stating that he’s undergoing treatment at the Federal Neuropsychiatric Hospital in Aro, Abeokuta. However, the police insist that he must surrender himself for investigation regarding an alleged assault on government officials.

According to the state Police Public Relations Officer, Omolola Odutola, “Portable will come and submit himself. He cannot be in the psychiatric hospital in Aro. Everybody knows he is a wanted person.” The police declared Portable wanted after an alleged violent confrontation with three officials from the Ogun State Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development.
The affected officials, TPL Onabanjo Abidemi, TPL Raymond Lateef, and TPL Ridwan Oyero Akinlesi, were reportedly attacked during an enforcement exercise in Ogun State. With the police dismissing his psychiatric claim, Portable’s situation remains uncertain.
