CKay gained widespread fame with the release of his hit single ‘Love Nwantiti’ in 2019. The track became a major success in Afrobeats, propelling Nigerian music to new heights.
After gaining worldwide success on TikTok in 2021, CKay’s hit single ‘Love Nwantiti’ was certified RIAA 8 times platinum. The track, featured on CKay’s EP ‘CKay The First’, remains the most certified Nigerian song in the United States.
Initially signed to Loopy Music, CKay’s label merged with Chocolate City in 2015, where he released his second EP, ‘CKay The First’, which included ‘Love Nwantiti’. In 2021, CKay revealed that he was no longer with Chocolate City and had signed with Warner Music South Africa.
Last year, CKay expressed his excitement when award-winning rapper Olamide featured him on the song ‘Trumpet’.
