Popular celebrity chef and Guinness World Record holder, Hilda Baci, has taken to social media to apologize to a customer who was left disappointed with a N6,000 bowl of pepper soup purchased from her restaurant, ‘Food by Hilda’.
The customer, Omotayo Zinnat, had taken to social media to express her frustration with the small portion of turkey pepper soup, which she claimed was delivered in a cold state and resembled “dog vomit.” Her video complaint quickly went viral, sparking a heated debate among social media users.
However, in a surprising turn of events, Hilda Baci reached out to Zinnat via TikTok and offered a sincere apology for the disappointing experience. Baci also offered Zinnat a N50,000 food voucher as a gesture of goodwill.
Zinnat shared a screenshot of the apology message from Hilda Baci, which read in part: “I want to extend my sincerest apologies for the disappointing experience you had with our pepper soup… I want to make things right and show you that we value your feedback and your business.”
Zinnat expressed her gratitude to Hilda Baci for acknowledging her complaints and making amends. She praised Baci for her excellent customer service skills and for taking responsibility for the mistake.
