An Ikeja High Court has ordered social critic Martins Otse, aka VeryDarkMan, to delete defamatory posts against legal expert Femi Falana.
Justice M.O Dawodu issued the interim order on October 14, restraining VeryDarkMan from further circulating or publishing defamatory content.
The controversy began when VeryDarkMan released an audio conversation claiming Femi Falana and his son Falz were involved in securing a presidential pardon for Bobrisky. However, the Falanas vehemently denied these allegations.Falz clarified that Bobrisky had asked him for N3 million to secure a VIP section in prison, which he refused.
Falz also stated that VeryDarkMan’s comments portrayed him as homosexual and a fake human rights activist.Femi Falana emphasized that his chambers never charge for presidential pardons and denied speaking to or having dealings with Bobrisky.
The court ruling requires VeryDarkMan to delete the defamatory content within 14 days and allows Falana to serve court papers through VeryDarkMan’s lawyer, Deji Adeyanju. Falana has 14 days to file the pre-action bundle on VeryDarkMan’s lawyer. This decision aims to protect Falana’s reputation and prevent further defamatory content.
