Controversial Nigerian singer Portable has arrived at the Ogun State Police headquarters in Abeokuta, hours after turning himself in at the Lagos State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) in Yaba.

The police had declared Portable wanted earlier in the week, accusing him of conspiracy, serious assault, armed breach of public peace, and attempted murder through the recruitment of armed thugs.¹
Portable’s arrival at SCID marks the beginning of his prosecution in connection with an ongoing investigation into an alleged attack on Ogun State officials. CSP Omotola Odetola, the Command’s Spokesperson, assured the public that due process will be followed and updates will be provided as necessary.
Before turning himself in, Portable had apologized to the Ogun State government, expressing his regret and revealing that his fear of them made him go into hiding. This development comes after the government sealed his uncompleted building and hotel over illegal development without an approval permit and detained some of his customers and workers.
