Nigerian artist Ahmed Ololade, widely known as Asake, has set a new record for the most entries on the Billboard U.S. Afrobeats Songs chart, surpassing Burna Boy.
This week, Asake’s new album ‘Lungu Boy’ led to nine of his songs debuting on the chart, bringing his total number of entries to 50.
His track ‘Active,’ featuring American rapper Travis Scott, currently holds the top position.
Launched in April 2022, the Billboard U.S. Afrobeats Songs chart has been predominantly led by Nigerian artists since its inception.
