A devastating tragedy has struck a Nigerian family after Chikwado Eze, who had just secured a visa, died during a fortification ritual organized by his father and a native doctor.

The ritual, intended to ensure Eze’s success abroad, involved burying him alive for 1 hour and 30 minutes. However, when he was exhumed, Eze was found unresponsive. The incident has sparked widespread outrage and raised concerns about harmful traditional practices.

The police have taken the father and native doctor into custody, pending investigation.
