Actress Ini Dima-Okojie has decided to adopt a holistic approach to managing her recurring fibroids, which have resurfaced three years after her initial surgery.
She Open about her fibroid journey, she has announced a major shift in her diet to help naturally reduce the fibroids.
Dima-Okojie has eliminated various foods from her meals, including red meat, white carbohydrates, dairy, refined sugar, processed foods, carbonated beverages, pasta, and caffeine.
She explained that these foods are high in estrogen, which can encourage fibroid growth. By removing these items from her diet, the actress hopes to reduce her fibroids’ size and manage symptoms without resorting to further surgery.
In a recent TikTok video, she shared,
“I’m on a holistic path to shrink my fibroids, which involves following a specific fibroid diet. This means giving up red meat, including lamb, beef, goat, sausages, and all processed meats. I also had to cut out white carbohydrates like pasta, rice, and bread, even though I love rice.”
She continued,
“I’m also avoiding dairy products like cheese and milk, refined sugars such as those found in cookies, cakes, and condiments, as well as processed foods overall.
Additionally, I’m steering clear of carbonated drinks and caffeine. I’m also keeping an eye on sodium and high-salt foods.
The reason for these changes is that these items are high in estrogen, which can contribute to fibroid growth.”
This update follows Dima-Okojie’s announcement in July about the recurrence of her fibroids, a situation she found emotionally difficult.
