Nollywood actor Saidi Balogun has voiced his worries about Nigeria’s current economic climate.
In an Instagram post, the Yoruba actor, who was a notable supporter of Tinubu during the 2023 presidential election, questioned the effectiveness of price control and regulatory agencies in Nigeria. He is seeking clarity on the steps being taken to counteract the effects of inflation.
Balogun emphasized the urgent need for interventions to tackle the surging costs affecting both individuals and businesses, expressing that the situation is rapidly worsening.
He wrote:
“Do we have a functional price control or piece regulatory agency in Nigeria?
How do we cushion the effects of inflation?
Because things are getting out of hand”
