Nollywood actress and filmmaker Omoni Oboli has been dealt a significant blow after her movie “Love In Every Word” was taken down from YouTube due to copyright claims. The movie, which had garnered over 7 million views, was removed after a Canadian-based network engineer, Chinonso Obiora Skyberry, filed a complaint against Omoni Oboli.

According to reports, Chinonso claimed that some establishment shots used in the movie were owned by him, and therefore, the movie infringed on his copyright. YouTube, in accordance with its policies, took down the movie, leaving Omoni Oboli and her team devastated.
The news of the movie’s removal has sparked outrage on social media, with many people expressing their support for Omoni Oboli and condemning the actions of Chinonso Obiora. Many have questioned the timing of the complaint, wondering why Chinonso waited until the movie had gained so much traction before filing his complaint.
Omoni Oboli has yet to comment on the situation, but her fans and colleagues have taken to social media to express their disappointment and frustration. The incident has highlighted the importance of copyright laws and the need for creators to ensure that they have the necessary permissions and clearances before using any material in their work.
This is not the first time Omoni Oboli has faced challenges with her work. Last year, she had to take down one of her movies due to copyright issues. Despite these setbacks, Omoni Oboli remains one of the most respected and talented filmmakers in Nollywood, and her fans are eagerly waiting to see how she will bounce back from this latest challenge.
