Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK) has finally broken its silence on the shocking video of a female student assaulting her lecturer. The incident, which has sparked widespread outrage and debate, involved a student identified as Goddy Mbakwe Precious, who attacked her lecturer, Dr. Chukwudi Okoye, for interrupting her video recording.

In a statement released by the university management, they assured the public that a thorough and unbiased investigation into the matter has been ordered by the Acting Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Joseph I. Ikechebelu.
The university emphasized its commitment to upholding discipline, self-reliance, and excellence, and promised to take appropriate actions and sanctions based on the outcome of the investigation.
“We urge all concerned parties and members of the public to remain calm as we diligently pursue the truth,” the statement read. “Nnamdi Azikiwe University remains an institution of learning that upholds high moral and ethical standards. There is no place for indiscipline, misconduct, or any form of unacceptable behavior within our community.”
