Nigerian actress Bukky Wright has opened up about her experiences living abroad and her decision to take a break from acting. In an interview with Saturday Beats, Wright shared her story of switching careers while in the United States.
“I will be practicing it (tech) simultaneously with entertainment,” she said. “The fact that I had to deviate totally from entertainment to tech was something many people thought I would not be able to do. I would tell all my mentees that if I can do it, they can do it too.”
Wright also spoke about what she missed most about Nigeria while living abroad. “What I would love to eat again would be proper Naija amala,” she said. “What I would like to do again would be to act with Nollywood actors.”
The actress assured her fans that she has several exciting projects lined up for her highly anticipated return to Nollywood. “I have a lot for fans, including my project— ‘The Return of Omotara Johnson’, which is coming and a whole lot of other things,” she said. “I am back to stay.”
When asked about the secret to her timeless beauty, Wright jokingly replied, “I don’t joke with my beauty sleep.”
