Nigerian disk jockey, DJ Jimmy Jatt, has shared a shocking revelation about his health struggles, including losing his sight in 2020 and battling chronic kidney disease.
In a recent interview on Rubbin Minds, DJ Jimmy Jatt disclosed that his health issues began during the 2020 COVID-19 lockdown. He explained that he had to undergo surgery to regain his sight after suddenly losing it.
However, his health woes didn’t end there. After his eye surgery, DJ Jimmy Jatt was diagnosed with chronic kidney disease. He underwent dialysis and eventually had a kidney transplant in 2022.
DJ Jimmy Jatt reflected on how his love for travel may have contributed to his health issues. He said, “Maybe I caused it myself because, in 2019, I decided to spend more time outside Nigeria. I had lived all my life in Lagos and wanted to explore other parts of the world—Europe, America, everywhere”
Despite his health challenges, DJ Jimmy Jatt remained determined to continue his music career. He revealed that he continued to DJ across America and Europe while undergoing treatment.
