A UK-based man, Charles Arinze Nwabude, has come forward with disturbing information about Oluwatimileyin Ajayi, the gospel singer arrested for allegedly killing his girlfriend, Salome Adaidu.
In a facebook Charles shared his personal connection to Ajayi, revealing that they were once choristers together at Christ Embassy in Umuahia and Abuja. Charles expressed his deep sadness and disappointment over Ajayi’s actions, describing him as someone who had always wanted more from life but consistently made poor choices.
According to Charles, Ajayi had previously declared himself an atheist before returning to the church and eventually pursuing a career in gospel music. Charles lost touch with Ajayi over time but was shocked to hear about his alleged involvement in Salome’s murder.
Charles’ post also touched on the broader issues of ritualistic practices in the Nigerian Christian community and the dangers of prioritizing wealth and fame over character and morality. He emphasized that not all victims of ritual killings are “runs girls” but rather innocent individuals who have been deceived and exploited.
