Nollywood actress Chioma Chukwuka-Akpotha shared her experience preparing for her role in the new Netflix series, “Seven Doors”.
She plays an Igbo queen married to a Yoruba king, portrayed by Femi Adebayo.To get ready for the part, Chioma had to learn to speak Yoruba fluently.
She noted that the Yoruba spoken in the movie was not the regular dialect spoken in Lagos State, so she had to be particular about the tone. Chioma stated, “I had to learn Yoruba for my role in Seven Doors. The Yoruba in the movie was not the regular one spoken in Lagos State, so I had to be very particular about the tone.”
