The story involves an overnight stay in a family house, an uninvited guest in the form of a lifeless body, and a series of strange events that followed.
The tale began when the man and his ex-girlfriend arrived in Kwara late at night. Having traveled a long distance, they were exhausted and needed a place to rest. After some searching, they finally found a room in a family house with about twelve occupied rooms. However, there was one unoccupied room with the door left open, which they eagerly entered.
Upon stepping inside, they noticed someone lying in the middle of the bed. At first, they thought little of it, assuming the person was simply asleep. The couple then took a shower, and after some lighthearted moments, they returned to the bed, where they continued their activities without giving the body much attention.
As the night wore on, they both remarked how the person lying in the bed hadn’t moved. In fact, despite the man’s attempts to push the body aside so his ex could sleep closer to him, the body remained motionless. The two joked about the strange silence, with the man even commenting that they could hear the person snoring, adding, “ghosts are real.” They thought nothing of it and eventually fell asleep.
But as the night turned into morning, things took a chilling turn. At around 5 AM, the undertakers arrived to prepare his grandmother’s body. The first man to enter the room screamed in horror, thinking the lifeless body on the bed had suddenly risen. The family house erupted in chaos as around thirty people rushed toward the door, shocked and confused by the scene unfolding.
It was in that moment that the man realized the truth—he and his ex had unknowingly slept in the same bed as a dead person. As fear set in, he felt the presence of something otherworldly. His ex, overwhelmed by terror, immediately stood up and fainted. The man, unable to keep his composure, had to crawl and drag her out of the room, feeling the fear rise within him like never before.
