A Nigerian male student has shared his traumatic experience of being repeatedly sent out of class by a lecturer who accused him of wearing make-up due to his appearance.
The student revealed that the lecturer frequently singles him out, claiming he uses make-up, sparking widespread outrage. He wrote: “I have a lecturer who is very homophobic and keeps asking me to leave his class because he thinks I’m wearing make-up. I’m tired of explaining to him, so I now carry toilet rolls to wipe my face.”
“If he insists, I’ll clean my face to prove I’m not wearing make-up. I also carry sachet water in case he asks me to wash my face. Is it a crime to be fine?”
