Dr. Fola David, the Nigerian doctor and artist, recently revealed that he was in immense pain while breaking the Guinness World Record for the largest individual drawing.
Despite the physical challenges—such as severe leg and arm aches, and the glaring sun making his task even harder—Dr. David pushed through to complete his monumental 850-square-meter artwork, “Unity in Diversity.” He shared that throughout the ordeal, he had to stay focused and finish despite the discomfort because of his determination to achieve the historic feat.
The artwork, which took place at Lagos’ Onikan Stadium, celebrates Nigeria’s diverse ethnic heritage and has since garnered international recognition.
Dr. David’s resilience in the face of physical pain has inspired many, making his achievement even more extraordinary.
